Ole Ole

It's that time of year that we head of to any Real Salt Lake game - rain or shine. Now that I'm working swing shifts, it makes it a little harder but I've only had to miss 2 games so far. Thank goodness. I was able to take off work for the RSL vs. Colorado Rapids game and I'm so glad I did.

Even though it rained, poured, and even snowed RSL came off with another win in injury time. It was such a fun game to go to and the company was even better. You don't realize all the things that you have to miss out on with swing shift jobs and the opportunity to spend quality time during the week with your husband is one of them. Well at least for me.

LOVE this picture!
RSL takes on Monterrey in the Champions League game tonight! Make sure you're watching and remember #MLS4RSL!!!!

Philip's Nightmare...

No idea if this picture is from 1993, but it sure is cute anyway!

Philip's mom Dixie gave us a bunch of school stuff from when he was younger. Going through I stumbled on one of his classic school projects. I'm guessing for a class assignment Philip was supposed to write about a nightmare he had... Here's his nightmare..

October 22, 1993

Dear Mrs. J,

I have had a nightmare before. It was about me getting married to Karlee, but then I kicked her and she died but she got straight up and tried to kiss me but she got put in jail luckley.

The teacher's response.

Dear Philip,

How are you? Boy that would be a weird dream. However, Karlee is a nice girl and I hope nobody will ever kick you!

Have a nice day!

Mrs. J

Oh boy ! I love that kid!

Short and sweet...

So I kind of abandoned the wedding challenge thingy - mostly because I was mad.. Blogger deleted tons of pictures on my blog which made me angry and not want to continue. Second reason. I have been incredibly busy. So maybe if I have more time I'll continue. I haven't really decided yet.

Things are good. I feel like everything is finally starting to come in order (minus working swing shift, I still hate that). Monday-Thursday I am home for 2 or 3 hours (well non-sleeping ones) and then I head off to work all over again. I've been working extra hours just so I can have time to take off for special things. Real games, family stuff, VACATIONS!

Philip and I booked our anniversary vacation and I can't wait to go! Only 5 more weeks and we'll be in Washington DC. Be jealous, very jealous! I can't wait to see all the awesome museums Philip has told me about and to see our family out there. Plus I will also see my husband for more than 2 whole days!

Philip is still loving his job. My job is getting there. I haven't been fully trained yet which is frustrating. I guess I should remember that's how the government works though. Now that the budget has been approved hopefully some other options start knocking on the door. ANYTHING DAY SHIFT!

We also bought tickets for Taylor Swift. Yes please! I love Taylor Swift and her last concert that we went to was AWESOME! We can't wait.

I guess this ended up being longer than I thought. So not so short and sweet - just what I could type up in 15 min. Hopefully I'll have some time to blog more this weekend. We'll see though. Weekends are always busy busy with a million things I have to do.

Apple green & brown - with a little bit of sunflowers

6. The colors: show some of the flower and colors you used

So as you can tell by the title of this blog my colors were apple green and brown. I absolutely loved this colors and they all came together so well. The hardest part about this color combo was trying to find the perfect dresses for my bridesmaids. Now I could find plenty of brown dresses, but I didn't want brown. I finally found the perfect dresses for them and they turned out awesome. All the guys rocked brown tuxes - yup brown. Totally loved them too. Last but not least we mixed up the colors by adding sunflowers. Sunflowers are my absolute favorite colors so why wouldn't I want them in my wedding right? Here are some of my favorite pictures that show off the colors and flowers. Enjoy! :0)

Say Cheese!

5. Engagement/bridal pictures: let's see em!

Ole Ole! We are huge RSL fans so there's no way we could go without getting some of our engagements done at Rio Tinto. It always pays to have hook ups!

One of my absolute favorites!

Another one of my favorites. Best part is I dare you to find this place.

Who knew a random street, random sidewalk could turn out so amazing!

We make it rain! Taking pictures with the water pouring down was awesome to say the least.

Love how gorgeous this picture turned out!

Thanks to Kierstin Clapier for my awesome bouqet, she rocks!

This field full of flowers made for some awesome pics!

Loved my cute shoes

There may be some doubles in here. I tried my best to spot them, but it's early and I'm still tired.

We had so much help with making our pictures perfect.
First Chad Braithwaite at Faces Photography
Philip's brother Michael Gray for helping to edit the pictures (one day I will learn photoshop)
My sister Sandy Crawford (no relation to Cindy) for helping with my hair in my bridals
My mom - for just being patient and the labor it took getting me in and out of that dress
and Kierstin Clapier for hooking me up with her mad flower skills!
Thanks guys!
