PoMo or bust...

Last Saturday, we packed up and ran (well not really ran) away to spend the day snowboarding at Powder Mountain (my favorite resort) and then to stay the night at Red Moose Lodge in Eden. The best part about it all is that snowboarding and our hotel were completely free. Remember this post where we won a free night's stay at Red Moose Lodge for being the best almost newlywed couple ever? Yeah we finally cashed in that baby and my mom bought us passes to Powder Mountain for Christmas so all we had to pay for was food. Unfortunately, on our second run a 5 year old snowboarder decided to cut me off and well, lets say we had one run on the mountain that day. The snow patrol guys were awesome though and are trying to get our passes back for us. So we decided to just go relax at our hotel and let me tell you it was GREAT!

This is our cute room. I loved it. I would love to stay here again.

Our gorgeous view from our room. I love Utah! I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

And most importantly I love this boy and the time I get to spend with him. He's the best husband ever and was totally supportive to not continue snowboarding and to go and ice my knee. I don't know how I got so lucky to have him in my life..

Next vacation please?

P.S. If you ever stay in Eden I highly recommend Carlos and Harleys! It was DELICIOUS!!!

All Tuckered Out..

This is what life looks like after a night at Aunt A.j.'s and Uncle Lagoons! haha

Yesterday we had my nephew L.j. and my niece Kenadee come over for a sleepover. It was a blast! We spent the day playing with legos, playing video games (watching Kenadee play Just Dance 2 is the best ever), went over to a friend's house and just had a good time hanging out. I love my family so much and I love how close I am to my nieces and nephews. I never really had that growing up so it's important for me to always be around in their lives. L.j. spent a lot of the time letting us know what he's been learning in kindergarten. Yeah I know he is so TALL for a kindergartener (sp?) but he definitely is cute. I love taking him places and hearing everyone talk about his red hair. He definitely is the cutest red head around. Kenadee loves to dance and sing. Most the time she can be found with her MP3 player just tuning the world out singing and dancing. She definitely is a strong willed always on-the-go girl. I can't believe that she is already 4 years old and will be in Kindergarten next year. The picture from above is on our way home from church. They cracked me up how quickly they just crashed and slept the whole way home like this. I love these kids so much!

Once upon a time...

I had an adorable cute perfect scentsy warmer that matched our kitchen perfectly. If you've never been to our house Philip and I have zebra dishware that is AWESOME! So since we have that we received a zebra scentsy for a wedding present....

This is the cute warmer... Well, my cat named "Trouble" decided that as she was playing with her fake mice to completely take out the warmer, put candle wax all over our floor and our walls! I guess that's what we get for naming her Trouble....

Goals!

With the New Year along comes new resolutions and this year Philip and I have made 2 very important resolutions to us.

1. Get out of as much debt as possible.
-We're not taking on anymore new debt and should have a lot of our stuff paid off soon. Like all of our kitchen appliances.
- We set up a budget and are sticking to it. So far so good.
- The struggle- I think our biggest problem is eating out. But man cooking for 2 people is so hard. Lots either goes to waste or putting that much effort into a nice meal for 2 people is just not always worth it. So if any of you have suggestions for meal ideas for us we'd certainly appreciate it.

and along with eating out comes our second resolution...

2. Getting into shape
-This has been a goal we've had for awhile, but we're finally going to stick to it
- We found a gym nearby that is really reasonable.
- Working out at home doesn't work for us. Especially me so a gym membership is a must. I know that's kind of new debt, but I think we can make an exception just this once.

Wish us luck.

Hey hey hey... Goodbye!

I can't believe that 2010 is already gone! Wow did that go by fast. I remember last New Years when Philip and I were still engaged, talking about our wedding, and where we were going to live. 2010 was great by far the best year of my life so far.
We bought our first house
 We tied the knot
We went to beautiful Cancun, Mexico where we spent our honeymoon
 Emsleigh Ruth was born
and we spent our holidays together as Mr. and Mrs. Gray

Merry Christmas!

Christmas 2010 was a Christmas we'll never forget. Our first Christmas as "The Grays." Although it was very hectic driving to Salt Lake back to Roy and then once again back to Salt Lake we'd do it all again. It was so much fun having all of our family in town. We got to spend time with our nephews and niece that we don't get to see very often and it was a blast! On my side of the family, (I'm horrible and left my camera in Salt Lake while we went to Roy so no pictures) we had a great time too. I love all of our nieces and one cute little red head nephew. The best surprise was after having all the presents opened we brought in a TV for my mom that all the kids went in on. She loved it! I have video that I'll have to post later once I figure out how to. All in all I think this year was a success (minus the nasty cold I was gifted haha). We couldn't have asked for a better Christmas or a better family to share it with!
This is cute baby Emsleigh! She is such a sweetheart. I enjoyed getting to spend the extra time with her before and after Christmas.

Now for the Christmas Pictures!

Opening our presents. Yes I love Donkey Kong!

Philip looks like a total stud in this shirt! I rock at presents.

Our incredibly chubby cat Trouble. She wanted to be in all of our pictures and help open all of our presents.

Yes I caved in and bought him a video game.. But it is way cool.

and I got a NEW VIDEO CAMERA! ! YAY!

Christmas at The Grays

 Emsleigh and Jared

Bentley and Scarlet - they are best friends Tootsie on the otherhand just wanted to hang out with me

So even though I did horrible this year with taking pictures, I think this gives you an idea of just how great our Christmas was! We're so blessed and really I'm looking forward to the many years of holidays as Mrs. Gray.
