Finally!

I know I am not very good at keeping this blog up to date, but I do try and hopefully someday I will start to post more.

We have both been EXTREMELY busy. Our house has definitely been keeping us on our toes. We have had to constantly work on things. Rather it be our crazy earwig infestation (I know gross huh?) or our water pump for our swamp cooler going out we have just been trying to manage it all and get it into order. Probably about a month after we moved in and started to get settled we noticed a few earwigs here and there and with a week or two these earwigs turned into hundreds! We went camping in Bear Lake with some of our friends and came back to our house and that night we probably killed 30 earwigs within 5 minutes. They are seriously so gross! I finally told Philip we needed to call an exterminator. He came out and sprayed and things have been A MILLION times better. I am so glad that they are long gone. Then after we finally got that problem taken care of another one came right up. The joys of being a home owner. Last Sunday we came home from church and our swamp cooler's water pump had gone out. It was 90 degrees in our house. Thankfully that was a much easier and cheaper fix and Philip and my brother had it taken care of within the hour. Other than the few minor things that keep happening our house is finally beginning to feel like a home. We kind of have a grassy front yard now instead of all weeds. The backyard not so much. We just plan on planting some grass seed in the fall and hopefully by next Spring we'll have some grass. All of our major rooms are in order minus personal touches and decorations, but we finally feel like we can come home and relax. I finally charged my camera battery so I will be posting some pictures of the house hopefully soon.

Besides working on our house we both keep pretty busy with work. Philip has also been in school. I'm so proud of him that he is back in school and that he works so hard to support me, even if it means spending less time together. Things just feel like they're starting to fall into place. I recently got a promotion at work which could bring many opportunities in the future. Hopefully a few months turns into a permanent job so I can keep moving up the ladder.

Last, I can not say how much I LOVE being married. It is so nice to be able to spend every night with my best friend. He has been my rock and helps me out so much in life. I can't wait to see what our future holds and everything that is happening. I am so thankful that we didn't have to move into an apartment and that we were able to start "our home." Everything has been such a blessing these past couple of months and we both feel so lucky and thankful for everything in our lives.
