Family Time!

Philip's whole family only comes into town once a year and this year it was for Christmas. Treyson was so excited to meet all his aunts, uncles, and cousins!

Treyson's cousin Cohen- can you believe he was born in just September? Such a cute, big boy!

Emsleigh dancing like a ballerina. This girl is so cute!

Treyson's Aunt Michelle and cousin Karis. Karis was born in October. Phiip and I love that Treyson has cousins so close to his age!

We didn't get pictures with everyone (I'll add more if I come across them), but it was so good to see all of Philip's family. Wish we could see them more than just once a year.

Treyson's First Snow Day!

The day after Christmas it snowed like crazy at our house! It kept us all bundled up and comfortable inside. The next day we had to venture out in the snow and decided to get some pics of our snow baby. He loves this little outfit. Thanks Brindy, Kierstin, and Nikki - you guys rock and keep Treyson lookin' fashionable!

Treyson wasn't sure what to think about all the snow, but absolutely hated the cold weather!

Treyson's First Christmas

I know, I know it's ultra annoying that every blog post is "Treyson's First," but I can't help but want to actually have all these moments somewhere so we never forget them (since my scrapbook has been on the back-burner since marriage).

Every year when I was younger my family would color in a giant Twas' the Night Before Christmas coloring book. Since Philip and I got married we have kept the tradition alive and color in it every Christmas Eve. We usually put a little note with it of something that happened that year. This year was "Treyson's First Christmas."

Some pictures of our tree this year. I must say it's not our best, but at least we got a tree this year (we almost didn't until I started to feel guilty about Treyson not having a tree for his first Christmas.) Philip decorated the tree mostly by himself and I think he did a great job. Our house didn't get decorated much this year due to having a baby and all haha, maybe next year?

Treyson's First Christmas ornament. This isn't the best picture, but it's placed next to our First Christmas ornament from when we were married. You can see our ornament better here.

Our cute little Treyson in his Christmas outfit.

 Family Pics!

 Treyson's very first present!

Philip and I didn't go all out on each other this year, why would we? We already got the best Christmas present ever!!

Treyson's Real Salt Lake Piggy Bank! He was so excited about it in case you can't tell.

Smiling because he had the best Christmas ever!

Christmas Eve

Every year we go our church's Christmas Eve Service. This year was extra special because we had Treyson to go with us.

Of course we try to look our best, but Treyson had to outshine us. Man is he a stud or what? Love his little bow tie too! Although Treyson slept through the service, I think he enjoyed all the music and how special the night was.

Attempting to get a good family picture at my mom's house. It was quite the task, but I will absolutely love being able to look back at these and see how happy our little family is.

I am so in love with these boys and love every minute that I get to spend with them.

Treyson's First Cold :(

Right before Christmas, Treyson had his first cold. It wasn't a fun experience at all and I wish I could've been sick for him. I felt so bad for him. At first we were told it was RSV, so scary. They started him on breathing treatments right away at the doctor.

Poor guy was not a fan of the breathing treatments and right after this picture started screaming loud enough so the whole doctor's office could hear him.

He wasn't able to breath through his nose at all and as a result started sleeping with his mouth wide open. Even when he is sick, he is still the cutest kid around!

Fortunately for us, once we started giving him breathing treatments at home he started doing tons better with them.

Hate having a sick baby!

2 Week Checkup

Treyson had his 2 week checkup on December 17 and is doing great! The doctor was so impressed with his weight gain and his strength.

Height:  21 inches (70th %)
Weight:  7 lbs. 8 oz. (16th %)
Head:  37 cm ( I think he said 85%, but I'm not positive. It's not on our stat sheet.)
Clothing Size: Newborn
Diaper Size: 1
Likes: Mom & dad, tummy time, the music and light mirror on your activity pad, staring at your puppies, sleeping, and anything with music

Treyson dropped down to 6 lbs 10 oz when we left the hospital and already almost gained a full pound in just two weeks. He is growing so big and so fast already! The doctor was super impressed that he had gained that much so quickly and told us we are doing a great job (trust me so reassuring to hear).  He also told us that his strength trying to hold his head up and his grip were very impressive too! We are going to have one big, strong boy on our hands here soon!

Treyson's First Bath

On December 15, 2012, Treyson had his first "real bath."

"Where are you taking me mom?"

He wasn't so sure about this whole bath thing at first.
(Thanks to Philip for the placement of the octopus, always watching out for his son)

Then he was a little more comfortable with it.
(Thanks to me for my mad editing skills. Treyson will thank me one day)

And then once he figured out you pour water all over him and rub him with soap he was done haha!

Poor little guy makes you feel so bad for him. Can't wait for the days when he starts to enjoy bath time.
