Home Sweet Home!

We finally made it home with Treyson and had so much love and support from our family and friends. We had a lot of visitors and Treyson enjoyed meeting everyone. We had two very special visitors Philip's mom and my mom. There is absolutely no way we could've made it through the first week or so without them. They were so much help and we appreciate it more than they know! We are very blessed to have the support system we have!
Philip's dad with Treyson. Treyson is spoiled with great grandparents! Such a lucky kid!
I know I look horrible and tired, but I had to post pictures of how adorable Treyson is. I love him sooooooooooo much!

Philip's mom with Treyson. She was a lifesaver our first night home with Treyson. My mom had to have a medical procedure done and wasn't able to stay that first night and Philip's mom stepped right up to the plate and made such a difference. We were able to get some much needed sleep that night!

Philip's best friend Tim and his family came to visit us and even though Treyson didn't want to cooperate for the picture it was crazy to see how much bigger Ryan is than Treyson. I think they are only 7 weeks apart. I can see these two getting into lots of trouble together in a couple years.
Some of our good friends made him this University of Utah blanket and I must say it's his favorite (even if he doesn't have a choice)! Thanks Kierstin, Brindy, and Nikki!

My brother John and his family stopped by too! All the kids love having a new cousin. Plus there's not many boys on my side of the family so it's a nice change from all the girls. Let's just say Treyson will be spoiled with lots of babysitters!

Just some cute pictures of his cute outfit Philip's mom gave him. We both love it!

My sister Sandy and her family. Look at cute, little Heston giving his cousin a kiss. So sweet! Can't wait to see these two grow up with each other!

My sister Sam and her boyfriend Chris. Love this picture!

 Is he not the cutest?

Treyson's first bath at home! He loves having his hair brushed.

I know, I know. I look horrible again, but Kimber has been Treyson's protector from day one. Any time he started to cry in his bassinet she would jump up on the couch or our bed to look in the bassinet to make sure he is okay. She always makes sure Philip and I are taking the best care possible of her brother.

My son is the cutest! These pictures are just the proof. He is perfect in every way.

We had a lot more visitors that I wasn't able to take pictures of and that I didn't mention. Thanks to everyone who stopped by, brought dinners, and who showed us their love!

Heading Home!

We were discharged from the hospital a day before Treyson was. It was so hard to go home without him there. Luckily McKay-Dee Hospital has a boarding program where you can stay in the room as long as they have no need for it. This worked out great for us because we were able to stay there and pretty much just go home to sleep and wake up early the next day to go pick up our baby.

All smiles around there for Treyson's last day in the NICU! They were so great to us. They gave us a homemade blanket and hat to take home and loaded us up with lots of baby supplies too! The staff there was really great to us!

Would you really expect us to send him home in any other outfit? GO UTES!!

Okay... So the doctor kept telling us we were going to have this "big" baby. Believe it or not these pants are newborn pants and are still HUGE on Treyson. The onesie is 0-3 months so we knew it would be a little big. I asked Philip if he wanted to change him into another outfit once we saw how big it was, but we both agreed we couldn't send him home any other way. Sides he looks adorable in his MC Hammer pants haha.

Two days in the NICU was long enough. We were so glad to be bringing him home!

Treyson's First Days

Well as most of you know we welcomed our little Treyson into the world on December 2. I know it's almost a month later and I'm barely updating our blog, but it has been a super busy month! After 24+ hours of labor Treyson came in weighing 6 lbs 13 oz and was 20 in long. It was a very LONG 24 hours, but totally worth it.

The whole room was full of smiles once Treyson was here and Philip was one proud daddy!

My mom likes to tell the story about how she was holding Treyson and Philip walked by and said something and Treyson started looking everywhere for Philip. He instantly recognized his voice and knew exactly who he was.

Our very first family picture. Such a special moment that Philip and I will never forget. It's amazing how instant your love is for someone you barely met. We both sit here and wonder what we did before Treyson because we can't imagine our life without him now. He's amazing.

Our cute little Treyson! Man we are so in love already!!

There is no way that I thought I could love Philip more than I already did, but after seeing how great of a dad he is just makes me love him that much more. Treyson really has the best dad ever. Philip has been amazing with him.

Unfortunately because I was in labor so long I spiked a fever and Treyson had a fever when he was born because of it. This made him have to go into the TLC Nursery and the next morning Treyson's pediatrician sent him to the NICU because of some other health problems.

Although it was hard for us to see Treyson in the NICU, we knew this was what was best for him and we visited him as often as we could. It was so sad to see how many machines he was hooked up to and very hard to hold your baby when he's wrapped up in so many cords, but Treyson is a fighter and only had to spend a couple of days in there. He's our little champ!

Like I said in the last post Treyson had some CRAZY bruises. I felt so bad for him. You can see how bad they are in some of these pics.

Poor Guy!

Treyson's first bath in the NICU

Our cute little guy was such a trooper through all the pokes, IVS, and everything else he went through.

So glad our time in the NICU wasn't that long and he only had to spend a couple days in there. It was pretty hard checking out of the hospital and not being able to take him home with us. Just glad we only had one short night without him there, like I said we couldn't imagine life without him anymore. Treyson is such a blessing to us!
