Honeymoon!

Okay, I know I'm going a little out of order, but the only thing I really have pictures from is our honeymoon. Our wedding pictures the photographer has and our house pictures, well just trust me you don't want to see those yet haha.

My awesome sister Sandy and her husband Chris decided that for a wedding present they were going to get us a room at the Grand America in downtown Salt Lake! Can I just say WHAT AN AWESOME WEDDING PRESENT! We absolutely loved the room. It does have an older feel to it, but it was one of the nicest places I've ever stayed at (not to mention their room service was AMAZING!)

Philip and I were starving and we decided that we were gonna order some room service. We ordered mozzerela sticks and a cheesburger... I have to tell you. This food was the BEST!! (It might of had to do with the fact we were starving, but we loved it) This is a picture after we devoured our food.

The view from our room was awesome too. We could see all of downtown Salt Lake.

Day 1

Saturday morning after the wedding we headed straight for Cancun! We didn't do much that first night we got there besides relax. We were both exhausted. The next day which was our first full day in Cancun we decided to head over to the main pool on our resort. This pool was awesome! It was right next to the beach and it had 4 or 5 different pools hooked together that made one GIANT pool. Plus they had some really good snacks that we could eat nonstop.

Headed to the pool!

Day 2

So for our second day in Cancun we decided to go on an excursion. So we woke up early and headed out to the Tulum Extreme excursion (after you visit Tulum you go zip lining, swim in a cenote, and rappel). Tulum has one of THE PRETTIEST beaches either of us have ever seen! It was beautiful. For those of you who don't know Tulum is a place full of Mayan Ruins. Although it was really hot that day (in the 90s) it was great to get out and get a little culture fix in. Afterwards we went into the jungle where it starting pouring down on us like crazy. It was really different seeing rain like that, but it turned out to be good because it made the ziplines faster to go on.

Then we were off into the jungle! Although Philip didn't pay attention I even saw monkeys hanging in the trees. It was awesome!

Day 3

Tuesday was pretty relaxing. We didn't do too incredibly much because as most of you know, Philip hit his leg on a posionous tree that the pain followed with us the rest of the honeymoon. One of the things that we did do though was head into Playa Del Carmen. We went downtown which they call 5th Ave. It's basically a 5 mile or so stretch of stores and restaurants. I tell you what, it definitely was a different culture there, but it was a good experience for us. The beach there was also one of our favorites even though we didn't get to spend much time there.

Day 4

Wednesday was our last excursion that we had. We went to a place called Xel-Ha. Xel-Ha is kind of like a big water park minus the slides. It is the inlet of the ocean and has a big lazy river you can either snorkel down or tube down. We were there all day so we decided to do both. When we first got to the park we were able to take pictures holding a bunch of different animals. It was pretty neat. Everything there was also all inclusive so we had tons of delicious food that day as well. I was actually even able to get Philip to put his head under water a few times (we have pictures on a disposable camera that I need to develop).

Sweet! Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. Is it just me, or does Phee look petrified on the rappelling photos? :)

That view from the Grand American is insane! I look forward to seeing more.

You know when you're little and you play video games and the whole time you're sticking your tongue out? That was totally Philip rappelling. I'm completely surprised they even got pictures of him without his tongue out. It was pretty funny!
